Good show. But i think people on the streets must think i'm crazy. i was listening to the podcast while walking on the way to work and i just started laughing, all the people looking at me saying : the hell is up with this guy??
Anyway, good to hear Joel again for game news, although i kind of sad i didn't get to singalong with Derek and Kristin the intro to "the Joel show".
You and me both
After listening to the most recent podcast, and after having "the coupon" mentioned yet again, I broke down and ordered something else from Stardock. But for $3.00, you just can't beat the price. Thanks for giving a little something back to the faithful listeners. You folks have a great podcast, inane banter and all... Love it! I look forward to listening to everyone and their antics every week. Don't change a thing! Keep up the great show!
Oh you guys just couldn't leave well enough alone, huh? I know you just like to rant away, but...
Sure, in Iraq you can now speak out against the government - provided you are not first abducted, tortured, killed, blown up on the way to the local market, or shot by either terrorists or American soldiers. Or both.
In Iraq, the government is the least of the citizen's problems.
And yes, it IS all about the principles!
Oh, and your mother was a hamster.
Besides, I kinda agree with your POV regarding people spoiling games - which is what sparked the original comment in the first place.
I'm sure that would annoy people playing it. But OTOH I can't blame people for protesting against it in whatever way they can.
AND YOUR FATHER SMELT OF ELDER BERRIES!
Now go away or I shal taunt you a second timeh!
Superscaper: I know people are sick of it, me too actually. *We should be*. But I hear and read people making these same remarks so many times I can't help but jump in.
I promise to leave it at that. No, really! I said I would, but frankly curiosity got the better of me, and I came back.
I just knew that Frogboy would taunt me behind my back...
Superscaper: You wrote: " I mean have you ever actually really changed someone's mind by earbashing them?"
Well, I don't know about earbashing, but if you never react or speak up, how do you expect anything to change?
I've been busy on Usenet, in various fora, for about a decade now, and have found that my "voice" can make a difference.
Superscaper: About HL2, I never got around to finishing HL2, never mind the expansions out there. Hardware problems and all that.
They're solved now, but I have a gazillion games out there waiting for me, and I may need another (half)life to finish them! GalCiv2 is only 1 of them.
"I read that and suddenly had an image of you as the Michael Knight of forums. One man can make a difference eh?"
Yeah - why not?
