Great show as always. As someone who uses the caps lock key daily for my job (The notes on Architectural/Mechanical/Electrical CAD drawings are typically all in caps) I really hope they don't get rid of it. It would get really tiring holding the shift key down for 8 hours

And the whole anti-CAPS LOCK compaign is just dumb! I'm sorry but it is. How about getting rid of really useless keys, such as the scroll lock (wth does that do anyway) and the pause/break, which no one uses anymore.

The only app I've seen recently where Scroll Lock actually does something is Excel. With Scroll Lock off, pressing an arrow key moves the cell selection. With Scroll Lock on, the arrow keys pan the active sheet, but leave the cell selection in the same location on the sheet. Other than that, I use it to activate the keyboard hotkey on my KVM switch.

That said, I think the idea of getting rid of the Caps Lock key simply because some people lack the etiquette required to properly use it is absurd. That would be like getting rid of the gas pedal in cars because some people drive at unsafe speeds on public roadways. When used properly Caps Lock keys and gas pedals serve completely legitimate purposes and those of us who know how to use them should not have to teach our fingers a new key layout just because SOME PEOPLE TYPE LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME. I'm sick of being punished because of the actions of stupid people.

You know what, I always view these forums using firefox and i have only just now looked at the site in IE and what a difference! In IE the site looks so normal and flash and stuff ... ha ha ... I like the low techiness of the page in firefox ... maybe its just my settings?

Ahhh, radio talk....this is what I learnt from my PPL(H), allbeit some time back....hope I've remembered it right:

Roger - I have received and understood your transmission.
E.g. [the northern fuel pump is currently in use] - roger.

Wilco - I have recieved your transmission and will comply with its instructions.
E.g. [please taxi left of the blue aircraft] - wilco.

Both these terms are used (usually not together) to indiciate to the sender that the message has been understood but when actual facts of the message do not require a read-back (such as heights, speeds, etc).
